Leah Chamberlin
(She/Her/Hers)
M.Ac., L.Ac.
Leah Chamberlin is a board certified Acupuncturist through the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed to practice in Maine since 2016. With a Master’s from The New England School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Newton Massachusetts, she is certified in clean needle technique and auriculotherapy. Leah also holds her Facial Acupuncture CEU Certification after completing over 30 CEU credits in 2019. She aims to work together with her clients to regain and maintain health and wellness.
For Leah, it all began in middle school when her mom brought her to see an acupuncturist for anxiety and she experienced a lot of relief. She continued receiving treatments and shadowed different acupuncturists throughout school. After graduating with a BS in Business and working in an unfulfilling environment, she decided to further her education and career.
Leah’s degree encompasses four years of classroom and clinical training in both Eastern and Western medical theory and diagnosis. She was very fortunate to have worked at Boston Medical Center in the Integrative Medicine Pediatric Pain Clinic, the Orthopedic Clinic at Malden Hospital, and various community clinics. Some of her specialty areas include cosmetic/facial rejuvenation acupuncture, chronic pain management, orthopedic style acupuncture (dry needling), anxiety and depression relief, pediatrics, and reproductive health.
Leah is passionate about helping people achieve a better quality of life. She takes into consideration the connection between emotional and physical health and their role in each client’s well-being. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She loves traveling, playing music, singing, and going on long nature walks with her rescued greyhound, Digit. After seven years of practicing at Rocky Coast, Leah decided to open a private practice in Scarborough, Maine in November 2021. Additionally, it is Leah’s joy to practice acupuncture and her sincere hope to help you on your healing journey.

Sami Maldonado
(She/Her/Hers)
LAc.
Sami Maldonado, MAC, LAc, earned her master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in conjunction with the New England School of Acupuncture. She is licensed in both Maine and Massachusetts and holds a national board certification with the NCCAOM.
While in school she studied Chinese medicine, with an additional focus in Japanese and Orthopedic acupuncture styles. Her current treatment style is a combination of these three methods. She uses cupping and moxa therapies, as well as tui na. She is certified in both aroma touch and a level 2 Reiki practitioner. Her undergraduate studies were in American sign language and early childhood development and education.
Sami works with community outreach and is actively involved with volunteering for Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation, a nonprofit organization committed to providing opportunities, equipment, and lessons for adults and children with disabilities to participate in a variety of activities. She enjoys her time with the program, which takes her on many outdoor adventures and introduces her to people from all walks of life. She also volunteers every summer for the Veterans no Boundaries summer camp and Camp Wavis, offering free acupuncture and cupping to disabled veterans.
Sami is an advocate for movement as medicine and believes our food is what fuels us. Her school and life experience have taught her that eating well and keeping our bodies in motion are vital steps on the path to feeling our best. She uses her knowledge and experience to help her clients design and implement plans for healing and prevention of disease.
Sami has lived in Maine her whole life and is now raising her daughter here. She hopes to retire somewhere warm someday but for now enjoys the closeness of her friends and family, as well as the many opportunities to connect with nature that Maine provides.

Hannah Naughton
(She/Her/Hers)
M.Ac., L.Ac.
Hannah is a licensed acupuncturist in Maine and board-certified Acupuncturist through the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture (NCBAHM). She is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care that supports each patient’s health and well-being. She earned her Master of Acupuncture degree from the New England School of Acupuncture at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. In addition to her master’s training, Hannah completed advanced coursework in Japanese-style acupuncture, a gentle and refined approach that emphasizes precise diagnosis and comfortable treatment techniques.
Before becoming an acupuncturist, Hannah built a professional background in laboratory sciences, cell and molecular biology, and data analysis. This foundation in scientific research and critical thinking complements her clinical practice, allowing her to thoughtfully evaluate each patient’s unique health concerns and develop individualized treatment plans that integrate evidence-informed care with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Hannah’s clinical interests include making acupuncture accessible and approachable for neurodivergent youth and adults, reducing symptoms secondary to autoimmune diseases, treating chronic pain, supporting individuals throughout their substance use recovery journey, and caring for veterans. She aims to continue treating patients who have medically complex conditions, recognizing that acupuncture can play a valuable role alongside medical care to help manage symptoms, improve quality of life, and support overall well-being. Hannah is committed to partnering with her patients to reduce pain, restore balance, and promote long-term wellness in a welcoming, inclusive, and collaborative environment. Hannah values increasing access to acupuncture for all and hopes to find opportunities to volunteer her time and expertise outside of Great Blue Acupuncture.
Outside of work, Hannah enjoys time at the beach with her wife and their shepsky, Violet, catching live music in the Portland area, rock hounding, and finding any way to be as close to the ocean as possible. Although she is from away, Maine is Hannah’s forever home and she looks forward to partnering with you on your wellness path.
